Our self winding timepieces are designed to gain power from the natural movements of the wrist on the person who is wearing the watch, so manually winding it every day is unnecessary and you also do not need a battery. You do have to wind it to get its power started, and winding is also required when the watch gets low on power due to not being used for a period of time. Wind an automatic watch by turning the crown enough to jump start the power source, and then allowing the self winding mechanism to work by simply wearing the timepiece!

Indeed they are!  Most of our pieces are 3ATM Water Resistant, while all bracelets and bangles are water resistant.  Our bracelets are composed of precious stone such as agate and tigers eye while our metals deter wear and tear through an alloy coating. This level of protection will easily withstand splashes or brief immersion in water, or getting caught in the rain.  Please view the description of the timepiece you are interested in buying to make sure the details are what you desire in a timepiece.  However, timepieces are not sufficiently resistant for swimming, diving or bathing, and some metals may not withstand salt water. Keep it classy!

Do not worry! For a self-winding watch to function properly, the mainspring must build up a sufficient power reserve. Many people are unaware that a self-winding watch needs to be wound first manually before it will run automatically. This is called the initiation process. Without the initiation process, the watch will never operate properly or consistently. To initiate the power reserve, the watch must be wound manually. Turn the winding crown at the 3 o’clock position, in a clockwise direction for about 20 revolutions. This start up wind is usually sufficient for most automatic watches. We offer a series of solutions including a 30-day money back guarantee and a replacement if requested. If for some reason you are unhappy with your item, you are eligible for a full refund if returned in brand new condition within 7 days. If the item incurs shipping damage, send us pictures of it via email on hello@genuinebuddha.com and a replacement will be with you shortly. Additionally, you may request a replacement at any point within 30 days of purchase date; your timepiece is also repairable within 365 days.

This situation may arise if you live outside the US. When shipping to customers outside of the US we are often required to include customs costs and/or a shipment invoice in your package. Thus, the pricing details will vary depending on where you live.

Unfortunately, we currently do not.  However, this option will soon be available. We offer FREE shipping worldwide. Please be patient with international orders as they will inevitably take longer to get to you, allow 15 – 25 days before you inform our customer service team of a missing order. Dependent upon stock at our warehouse, US customers can expect to have their piece within 5 – 20 business days. This is dependent upon the tracking number you receive with your invoice email.  If you would like your piece sooner please contact us at hello@genuinebuddha.com.

Genuine Buddha cannot be held responsible for any custom charges made in your country. It is advisable to check the pricing guide at your local customs department if you think you may have to pay an additional fee.  However, this is usually only a problem for bulk orders.

Please be patient with international orders as they will inevitably take longer to get to you, allow 15 – 25 days before you inform our customer service team of a missing order whether you are ordering in the United States or any other country.

US customers can expect to have their piece within 5 – 20 business days.
